Meet our Team

Our fearless leader has been in the auto industry for 40+ years. His dad was a career Air Force Officer that later had a second career in the automotive industry as a Chrysler/Plymouth dealer in Illinois, so the business is in his blood. He is originally from southern California, and has lived in Illinois and Florida as well. He is proud to be an Alabama resident and Auburn fan. John has been married to Karen for 40 years. He has 2 children, Megan and Andrew. John loves the Subaru brand is honored to be an owner of the best brand in the business. In his free time, he enjoys golf, and is found frequently at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.

Tabor comes to us with quite a background. He was born in England, grew up in Clearwater, FL, spent 3 years living in Japan, and the last 15 years here in Alabama. Before working in automotive, he attended Community College of the Air Force and spent 7 years working in the military as a F15 Crew Chief and Functional Analyst. Tabor has spent the last 9 years working in automotive, 7 of which have been at Montgomery Subaru. He started with us as a Sales Consultant and moved his way up to Finance Manager and most recently, New Car Sales Manager! In his spare time, Tabor enjoys playing computer games, tinkering on cars, spending time with his wife, Amber, son, Thatcher, and dogs, Sophie and Coby. He also is a cat accepter as well, since his wife has two.

Tim has been with us since October 2002. We were Saturn back then and he has been here through the changeover to Subaru. His loyalty and dedication are second to none and we appreciate all of his years here. He's been in the automotive industry for 35+ years, including service, parts, sales, finance and management. He has been married to his college sweetheart, Alesia, for over 30 years. Tim has been an ASA softball umpire for 10+ years. He also has played softball for 30 years on his church team. He is a member of St. Bebes Catholic Church here in Montgomery. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, golf, and the Montgomery Biscuits games.

Drew brings over a decade of experience in the auto industry. Since joining our team in 2018, he's worked his way up from starting as our Internet Sales Consultant, Internet Sales Manager, and now the F&I Manager. As an avid car enthusiast, he's excited to share his knowledge ane experience with all of our customers! He's happily married to his beautiful wife, Stephanie, and they have a lovely girl named Jocelynne. His family enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, and racing!

Welcome, Shawn as our new Internet Sales Consultant! Born and raised in the Montgomery area, Shawn knows the area quite well. Shawn started working at Montgomery Subaru in early 2024 as a Sales Consultant. Prior to that, he spent 12 years in distribution in the beverage industry. In his spare time Shawn enjoys spending time outdoors, specifically hiking, camping, gardening, and fishing. We will certainly fit in well with the Subaru team!

Welcome, Ja'Darius to the Montgomery Subaru sales team! Originally from York, AL, Ja'Darius has come to Montgomery after spending 6 years in the military. He attended Marion Military Institute and became a 2nd Lieutenant in the Alabama National Guard. There, he received an Associate's of Science and went on to attend Auburn University at Montgomery where he received a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and 2 minors. Ja'Darius enjoys playing video games, hunting, fishing, and riding horses in his spare time.    

Welcome, Bert to the Montgomery Subaru sales team! Originally from Montgomery and raised in Dothan, Bert comes to us with much experience working with the public. He served 33 years with the United States Postal Service before recently retiring. Bert came to know the Subaru brand after his recent purchase of a 2025 Subaru Forester for his wife. Nine months after that, he bought a 2026 Outback for himself! In his spare time, Bert enjoys watching college football and NFL football. Him and his wife also enjoy going on cruises when they can.

Welcome to the Montgomery Subaru team, Geo! Originally from Louisville, Mississipi, Geo comes with over 10 years of automotive sales experience. In addition to automotive, Geo also is a Certified Network Tech grad from Faulker University here in Montgomery. In his spare time, Geo enjoys gaming, painting, spending time with dogs, motorcycles, traveling, music/poetry, and is a gym rat.

Welcome, Tyler to the Montgomery Subaru team! Originally from Prattville, AL Tyler brings a lot of automotive experience to the table. He studied Automotive Technology at Trenholm State Community College, and then went on to become a Senior Certified Lexus Technician. After his four years at Lexus, Tyler wanted to broaden his automotive skills by coming over to sales. In his spare time, Tyler enjoys watching movies, skateboarding, and training in mixed martial arts.

Meet Sarah, your Subaru technology specialist! Originally from Opelika, Sarah moved to the Montgomery area in 2020. This is her first job in the automotive industry, but has a solid background working in retail. In addition to her position here, Sarah is studying to become a graphic designer at Southern Union State! Outside of work Sarah enjoys spending time with family, drawing, and exploring the outdoors. She is also actively involved in the community, and is often helping her neighbors. She enjoys house sitting and being in the company of cats while their owners are traveling. You may recognize him from the Service Advisor office, but we are proud to call Tommy our Service Manager! He started at Montgomery Subaru over ten years ago as a Detailer and has worked his way up. Tommy was born and raised in Montgomery, and even graduated high school here. On his weekends, he enjoys being in the great outdoors. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and riding on 4 wheelers. Him and his wife Ashlee have a son, two little girls, and two dogs. Next time you're getting your car serviced, be sure to say hi to Tommy. We are so happy to have him leading our Service team!

Welcome to the Service Department, Ricarda! Originally from Western Germany, she has been in the Montgomery area for almost 10 years. Ricarda comes to us with various experience in operations, credentialing, and fitness. Ricarda originally started with us as a Service Concierge, but has moved up to Service Advisor! In her spare time, Ricarda enjoys gardening, camping, riding horses, and road-tripping. Be sure to say hi next time you're in service!

Welcome Aimee to our Service Department team! Aimee started in 2023 as a Express Service Concierge, and recently became a Service Advisor. Aimee was born and raised in Matehuala, San Luis Potosi, Mexico where she enjoyed playing volleyball, singing competitions, taekwondo and making wonderful memories with her family. At the age of 17, she moved to her family's home state of Alabama. She moved to Montgomery from Auburn in 2020 and married her partner that same year. In her free time she enjoys playing guitar and piano, playing with her two dogs, a Maltese named Mia and Arya, a German Shepherd, and going on weekend adventures in her Subaru Forester! Aimee is excited to be part of the team and to be your Service Advisor!

Welcome, Joanna to the Montgomery Subaru Service team! Joanna started in 2025 as our Receptionist, but quickly got promoted to Express Service Concierge. Originally from Rockford, Alabama, Joanna has spent much of her life in the Montgomery area. She has over 5 years' experience in the automotive industry working in service and clerical roles. In her spare time, Joanna enjoys spending time with her family, going to church, swimming, and reading books.

David is our Senior Subaru Master Technician, originally from Liverpool, England. He moved to Alabama in 1992 and starting working on cars in 1995. He has completed and holds 8 ASE Certifications and has completed all Subaru training! It is safe to say that when David is working on your car, it is getting the best possible treatment. On the weekends, David enjoys watching football, soccer, and Formula 1 racing. Him and his wife just recently purchased a new 2026 Subaru Impreza! He also enjoys the company of his two dogs and two cats. We'd say he fits into the Subaru brand quite well!

Rique is one of our Subaru Master Technicians, and was born and raised here in Alabama. He is originally from Andalusia and currently lives in Wetumpka with his wife Amanda, two daughters, and dog Riley. He graduated high school in 2004 from Taylor Road Academy, and spent two years at Trenholm State Community College studying Automotive Technology. He has since worked in the automotive industry for 21 years, 9 of which have been here at Montgomery Subaru. He also has an ASE Certification. In his spare time he enjoys going to the beach, fishing, and traveling to new places. He has also taken up woodworking and welding during his time at home. Him and his wife also garden together when the weather is warm.

We're pleased to have Armand as one of our Subaru Service Technicians! Armand moved to Alabama in 2017, but is originally from Palm Bay, FL. He started in the automotive industry over 9 years ago at Lexus. He has over 6 years of Certified Express Service experience and is proud to be our Level 2 Certified Subaru Technician. In his spare time, Armand enjoys playing video games and watching anime. He also enjoys spending time with family, especially his two daughters. He also enjoys animals, and has a rescue cat named Penny and an aquarium full of water pets. He also builds, fixes, and retrofits RC cars on the side from 1/18 scale to 1/7 scale. He is a cheer dad for Holtville and is so proud of his daughters. Go Holtville Bulldogs!  

Welcome to the team, Terry! He is born and raised right here in Montgomery and recently graduated high school. He comes to us eager and willing to learn about automotive service after graduation. He has been working in the field now for a little under one year. In his spare time, Terry learns as much as he can about cars, with his personal favorite being drag racing. He also likes turtles.

You may recognize Lester from your recent shuttle ride! Originally born in Alexander City, Lester now resides right here in Montgomery. He is a graduate of Benjamin Russell High School's class of 1975. He was employed with the Alabama Department of Transportation for over 30 years, and has called Montgomery Subaru home for over 7 years. In his spare time Lester enjoys fishing, gardening, yard work, and spending time with family. Lester really enjoys what he does at the dealership. His favorite part of the job is helping care for our community garden and care for our 17 resident hens. He will be glad to take you on a tour next time you're in service!

Kristy Kearney was born and raised in Kentucky and has called several states home throughout her life, including South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Arizona, and now Alabama. Her automotive career began in 2015 in Avondale, Arizona, where she worked as a receptionist for seven years. She later relocated to the Huntsville/Madison area and spent three years at a Kia dealership before making her way to Montgomery.

With more than 10 years of experience in the automotive industry, Kristy joined the Montgomery Subaru team in February 2026. She enjoys helping customers and creating a welcoming experience for everyone who visits the dealership. Outside of work, Kristy loves spending time with her family and fur babies, relaxing at the beach, playing golf, and shopping.

You may have seen Zack around for some time now, as he has been with Montgomery Subaru for the last 8 years. He started with us shortly after graduating from Wetumpka High School as a detailer and has since spent time working in our Quick Lube and Parts departments. Zack has lived throughout the River Region, including Montgomery, Millbrook, and Wetumpka.

Zack has been around the automotive industry his entire life, as his father has been a body technician for over 30 years. In his spare time, Zack enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, fishing, traveling, and sightseeing, whether that’s at a sandy beach or up in the mountains.

Zack is someone who puts God, family, and work at the forefront of his life. He is very passionate about his role at the dealership and is motivated to provide the best possible service to his fellow staff members and our customers.

Karen has been on the Montgomery Subaru team for 2016 in various roles, and moved her way into the Parts Manager role! Born in Chicago, Karen is a midwest girl at heart but has been a proud southerner for quite some time. She loves sweet home Alabama, especially the people and beautiful setting. Although her main job is in parts, she helps with various other things around the dealership, such as maintenance and upkeep. Her husband John has been in the business for 40+ years, and she can say she has been involved behind the scenes for much of that time! Karen enjoys gardening, cooking, and decorating in her spare time. Most of all, she enjoys being with family and hanging out with her grandchildren. Karen is passionate about our community garden. We donate 95% of it to local people in need. It takes a lot of hard work, but it's a labor of love and very fulfilling to give back.

We're so pleased to have Michelle on our team as our Controller at Montgomery Subaru. Michelle is originally from Pensacola, FL but has spent some time living in the Central Alabama area.  She has been on our team for over 11 years now, but has 39 years' experience in the automotive industry as an Office Manager! In her spare time, Michelle enjoys baking, cooking, and doing DIY projects around her house. Her favorite pasttime is spending time with her three grandchildren.

Megan joined us in May 2017 as Marketing Director, where she handles a variety of marketing and promotional events. Megan earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Central Florida - Go Knights! While in college, she interned every summer at Yosemite National Park. After graduating, she accepted a full time position there, and stayed 4 years before moving back east. Now she's here in Sweet Home Alabama. She spends weekends with her three year old daughter and rescue dog, Rory.

You may recognize this friendly face from reception, but now she is working in Accounts Payable. Originally from Prattville, AL, Nicole spent two years in Columbus, GA where she started her career in the automotive industry. Nicole enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her daughter, Aurelia. She also loves spending time with her two dogs and two cats, who she shares with her boyfriend, Matt. We also want to congratulate Nicole for being awarded Love Promise Employee of the year for 2021! This is a high honor in the Subaru world, and it was rightfully given to our most cheerful employee that goes above and beyond for customers and fellow staff on a daily basis. Thank you, Nicole for all that you do!

Rory has been an on-call employee on our team since summer 2017. Previously, she spent some time at the Montgomery Humane Society before she was rescued by Megan Danielson, Marketing Director. Rory is a nine year old Shepherd mix and loves long walks, naps, and riding in Subarus.
